Information we collect
When you create an account, join the waitlist, upload a deliverable, or use HandFrame, we collect the information needed to operate the product. This may include your name, email address, account identifiers, uploaded file metadata, project names, descriptions, pricing, payment status, and basic usage events.
HandFrame currently supports video and image uploads. Uploaded files are processed so we can create watermarked previews and make clean files available after payment.
How we use information
We use information to provide the service, authenticate users, process uploads, create previews, generate paywall links, support payments, deliver download receipts, prevent abuse, improve the product, and communicate with users who join the waitlist or use HandFrame.
Waitlist replies may be used for customer research, product prioritization, and founder-led outreach.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. HandFrame does not store full card numbers. For freelancer payouts, HandFrame uses Stripe Connect so the freelancer can be the merchant of record for client payments.
Stripe may collect payment details, identity information, tax information, and compliance information according to its own privacy policy.
Service providers
We use third-party providers to run HandFrame, including Clerk for authentication, Supabase for application data, Cloudflare R2 or similar object storage for files, Mux for video processing and playback, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional email, and analytics tools for product usage measurement.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to HandFrame.
File access and retention
Freelancers control the files they upload. Client-facing pages show protected previews before payment and clean-file downloads after payment. We may retain uploaded files, previews, payment records, and related metadata as needed to operate the service, prevent fraud, support users, and comply with legal obligations.
Deleting a project may not immediately remove every related record, especially when payment history, download grants, refunds, or abuse prevention records need to be preserved.
Your choices
You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained for security, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, or legal reasons.
You can stop receiving non-essential emails by using unsubscribe links where provided or by contacting us.
